In a video released by the police, Mr. Bon Jovi and another person, whom other news outlets have identified as a production assistant, slowly approach the woman, who is on the edge of the bridge, facing outward, on the far side of a railing. They are seen speaking to her for a minute or so, before she turns around to face them, and they lift her over the railing to safety.
Mr. Bon Jovi then hugs the woman and the three walk together along the bridge, attended by law enforcement officials. The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation, the police told CNN.

Pagers carried by thousands of Hezbollah operatives exploded at about the same time Tuesday afternoon in what appeared to be an unprecedented attack that authorities said injured more than 2,700 and killed eight across Lebanon.
Many of the affected pagers were from a new shipment that the group received in recent days, people familiar with the matter said.
A Hezbollah official said many fighters had such devices, speculating that malware might have caused the devices to explode. The official said some people felt the pagers heat up and disposed of them before they burst.

“Our patient approach over the past year has paid dividends,” Jerome H. Powell, the Fed chair, said during his news conference. But now “the upside risks to inflation have diminished, and the downside risks to unemployment have increased.”

AI is about to make the cloud a lot heavier.
Cloud services and private networks for years had to handle relatively limited amounts of data. Now that artificial intelligence and deep learning are driving vast quantities of photos, video, sound and natural language into the mix, however, data that was once counted in gigabytes and terabytes is measured in much larger units of petabytes and exabytes.
Information systems, including the cloud, must expand to store all of that data. Less obvious--and more interesting--is the need to access all of that information at much higher speed and, critically, lower operating cost.

In order to turn skin more peekaboo, the researchers then looked for a substance that could reduce how much biological tissues refract light. The search revealed tartrazine as a potential candidate.
And when they soaked a slice of raw chicken in tartrazine dissolved in water, the chicken turned clear. This made it clear this substance could decrease how much light refraction and scattering was occurring through tissue. Trying it on mice came next.
In theory, such a mechanism could hold with human skin as well.
